Matt Brash Becomes Wildlife Trustee
The charity works to save rare and endangered animals all over the world through fund raising and time contribution from veterinary surgeons. Providing expert veterinary care increases the chance of protecting our endangered animals from extinction, a cause that Matt feels very strongly about.
Matt says:- “WVI are currently tackling issues such as the reintroduction of Amur Leopards in the Far East of Russia as there are only 35 remaining due to the destruction of their natural habitat. Tigers are a huge problem for the locals, as they damage precious crops, so we are working to capture and relocate tigers to help resolve the problem”.
Matt and the WVI have also developed comprehensive preventative health care programmes for captive animals, providing education and knowledge to people working with them. Training imparts much needed additional skills for people in developing countries, as well as maintaining the wellbeing of our endangered animals.
All the staff at Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic would like to congratulate Matt on his new trustee role and wish him and WVI all the best of luck with their ongoing campaigns
