David Fielding, the resident Dog Groomer at Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic in Stamford Bridge, had a very nasty accident back in July 2007.
David was leading one of his horses, Charlie, in the field, when Charlie kicked out in excitement as David released him, catching him just below the knee of his left leg, badly damaging it. Luckily he was not alone and after being rushed to hospital he was found to have broken his tibia so badly it had to be pinned back together.

After a very slow, frustrating and incredibly painful recovery David is finally able to return to work. David said, “It has been hell. I am used to being very active and busy, both at work and looking after and riding both of my horses Charlie and Toffee, and I am just not used to sitting around. The enforced, prolonged rest has been very difficult. I had to totally rest my leg and even now have just started to drive again.

I want to thank all my clients for their patience during my recovery. I am sure there are a lot of very hairy dogs ready for a hair cut and will concentrate on returning all my clients back to their former glory in the New Year. I am taking bookings now for all my old clients and will welcome any new.”

To celebrate the return of this much missed Groomer, Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic are pleased to launch a new collection of grooming products including a very green way of buying your doggy shampoos and conditioners to keep your pet looking beautiful between appointments with David.
We are offering a re-fill service where you buy your luxury shampoos and conditioners from David and when your bottle is empty just return it to the clinic, washed and ready to be filled with more of the product, saving you money and helping to do your bit for the environment.

We are also going to holding Evening Talks covering a wide range of subjects; we will have excellent savings on Hill’s food and fantastic offers every month on new products and accessories.
